Runway Inspired Challenge # 84

Happy Thursday! Almost the weekend! This one is for this weeks RIC challenge. The really beautiful mix of gold, pink, coral and purple on the inspiration outfit from the Runway Inspired Challenge # 84 really popped for me! I really loved the mix and the rich tones and as it is finally summery weather I had to use this new set of stamps (for me) by Casual Fridays.

Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge

So I made this bokeh background for the first time for another challenge and I loved it so much I changed the colour palette and made this one for the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge creating a background.  I used the pig from the SSS Birthday Farm Animals (love this guy always wanted a pet pig!).  Forgive the picture, grey and raining here today :( and I took a day off from work but at least I got to play in my craft space!

Distress inks: Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Ripe Persimmon

New technique Sunday!

I have been away for work this past week, feels nice to be home and able to have some fun in my craft space! I made this one for the current Lawnscaping Challenge #106 try a new technique. There are a few new items here but for the technique this was my first attempt at bokeh.  I created the background with Distress inks and some dots from SSS with Memories Unicorn White.  The Silver twine in the back is also new, I have never been able to properly messy pile twine(there is so much tape in the back of that puffy star, lol)! Also, new even though it is an older Lawn Fawn set, is the Critters Ever After picked it up last time I was in my favourite craft store Scrapbook Centrale. I feel in love with the dragon made me think of Puff the Magic Dragon, loved that story as a kid :)

Runway Inspired Challenge #83

I created this one based on the inspiration outfit from this weeks Runway Inspired Challenge. I really wanted to emphasize the gorgeous flowers from that dress. I have to tell you part of me loves the card and part of me is on the fence lol!  I really wanted a lush bouquet feel and I chose many different flower stamps to try and accomplish what I had envisioned.

Stamps used:

Mix of Hero Arts, Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from Mama Elephant.
Copic colouring
White gel pen
PPP Sequins

Happy Mother's Day!

It's that time of year when everything is blooming, the weather is simply beautiful and everyone is in a good mood! I wish all Mother's a wonderful weekend! I am having my family over tonight for a Mother's Day supper, I made these place cards for the table using Lawn Fawn's Our Friendship Grows. I used this set for a watercolour card this week and I seem to have re-discovered how wonderful it is!  It is 30 degrees here in Montreal, I felt like sunflowers were appropriate!

Also used Hero Arts Journal Letters and It's Your Day
Mama Elephant Happy Everything

Copics and Versafine Black Ink
Dies from Spellbinder

Thanks for taking the time and have a wonderful Mother's Day!
